Here We Go Again (Travel) - Part Two

This is a Financial Freedom Update post. Each month I report the status of my journey towards more financial freedom and reflect on my progress. To learn more about financial freedom please see my Think Week 2021 post where it all started.

More expensive travel. Rented car, apartments/hotels, food, etc. But an absolutely wonderful experience in the Swiss and French Alps.

It is of course hard to justify such an expensive month when my goal is to save a lot. I think I’m done with these expensive vacations for a while but I don’t know. Part of why I’m saving is so I can do things like this – take a month off work to hike mountains.

But in the bigger picture it means a lot of working hours to support this type of vacation. A lot. And I’m starting to wonder if buying more freedom is better. Maybe it’s just that I have sated my hunger for big travels (for now). We’ll see next year I guess.
