Spending Bonanza II

This is a Financial Freedom Update post. Each month I report the status of my journey towards more financial freedom and reflect on my progress. To learn more about financial freedom please see my Think Week 2021 post where it all started.

Yikes!

Quite a few big items this month. The biggest one, by far, is a tax payment. So a bit unfair for April to pay for that as it covers additional tax for the entirety of last year. With that removed it is looking a bit better but there’s still a lot of spending.

I spent a bit on transportation as I went on a weeklong vacation in a rented car. I could have been without but it was really nice to have and not that expensive. I also paid up money owed for another vacation, a ski trip, earlier in the year. And I bought a new jacket.

… and then there’s a bunch of smaller purchases too.

I’m still on a Spending Bonanza. Let’s see if we can stop that.
